Daybreak Blue is an alias, and the honest way to describe it is administrative rather than technical. Its default snapshot is gpt-5.6-sol, OpenAI's frontier general-purpose model, and the specification is that model's: a 1,050,000-token window with up to 922,000 tokens of input and 128,000 of output, reasoning-token support, text and image input, and a knowledge cutoff of 16 February 2026. What differs is the calibration of the safeguards.
