Richtech Medbot

Medbot is Richtech Robotics' hospital delivery robot, sold from 2024 and previously marketed under the names Richie and Robbie. It is a secure courier rather than a clinical device: four lockable compartments totalling about 20 gallons, opened by PIN code or fingerprint, on a mobile base that can call and ride lifts on its own. The line is no longer sold. In the annual report for the fiscal year ended 30 September 2025, filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on 20 January 2026, Richtech states plainly that "the Medbot line of robots has been discontinued while we develop new robotic technologies to better service the healthcare sector". The company's own product taxonomy in the same filing lists only Matradee, ADAM and Scorpion on the commercial side and Titan, DUST-E and the Dex humanoid on the industrial side. Healthcare, for now, has no successor product. The hardware was straightforward. The robot measured roughly 3.4 by 1.7 by 1.6 feet, weighed 120 lb (54 kg) and carried up to 88 lb (40 kg) at 3.9 ft/s. Battery runtime was quoted at 10 to 24 hours. Navigation ran on LiDAR, an RGB camera, a depth camera and an inertial unit; the body was IP43-rated with an IP66 battery, it climbed ramps up to 8 degrees, and it ran Android 12 alongside Linux. The numbers worth quoting are operational, not technical. Richtech reported that a five-robot fleet handled eight to nine thousand deliveries a month, covering over 600 miles and 600 hours of work in that period. That was the argument the company sold in healthcare: not autonomy as a novelty, but the removal of a nurse's walking time from the working day. No list price was ever published.
