AgiBot C5

C5 is the first cleaning machine from AgiBot, a company otherwise known for humanoids, and it marks the point where the manufacturer started selling a service robot rather than a research platform. It combines three jobs usually split between separate machines — sweeping, wet scrubbing and dry mopping — around a dual roller-brush head driven by two 400 cc motors, with up to 16 kPa of ground pressure and up to 800 ml of water per minute. A dual-cavity squeegee adds a second wastewater stage, which is what separates the dirty water properly rather than smearing it back onto the floor. Navigation fuses LiDAR with cameras, and a wide-angle laser field plus two front side brushes let the robot work edges, corners and single spots instead of only open floor. The part that decides whether a cleaning robot is actually unattended is the dock and the doors: C5 integrates with access control and lifts to move between floors on its own, and its station handles charging, water refill, waste drain and self-cleaning of the dirty-water tank. AgiBot aims it at factories, transport hubs, malls, supermarkets, offices and hospitals.
