Aiper Scuba X1 Pro Max

Aiper unveiled the Scuba X1 Pro Max at CES in Las Vegas on 9 January 2025 and put it on sale in the middle of February that year at 2,299 dollars. It sits at the top of the company's Scuba X range and is the machine Aiper uses to argue that a single robot can replace the whole set of pool-cleaning gear: it works on the floor, the walls, the waterline and the water surface, and unlike the cheaper X1 it also handles elevated platforms and sloped sections. Nine brushless motors drive a rated flow of 8,500 gallons per hour, which the manufacturer states as 32,000 litres per hour. Debris goes into a five-litre top-loading basket; the standard mesh filters down to 180 micrometres and a replaceable MicroMesh ultra-fine insert takes that to three micrometres, fine enough for algae and pollen. Scrubbing is done by suction plus two powered rollers, front and rear. The robot is rated IPX8 and is intended for in-ground pools up to 300 square metres or 30 metres in length, on concrete, fibreglass, vinyl and tiled surfaces. Forty sensors feed the FlexiPath 2.0 navigation, which maps the pool and plans a route rather than bouncing off walls; the manufacturer also lists obstacle escape, ladder avoidance, stair climbing and anti-fall detection. Battery life is quoted as up to ten hours when skimming the surface only and up to five hours on the floor, with a four-hour recharge; on floor cleaning the three power levels are rated at five hours in Eco mode and three and a half hours at maximum. The most unusual accessory is the HydroComm Pro, a floating unit that relays commands to the submerged robot, because radio does not travel through water. Through it the owner can switch cleaning modes without fishing the machine out, read the battery, call the robot back to the edge with one tap and follow five water-quality readings. The robot charges on a contactless dock that can be mounted on the trolley, and firmware arrives over the air. Aiper backs the machine with a three-year warranty and quotes durability testing at 50,000 ppm salinity and 40 ppm chlorine, in water from -20 to 70 degrees Celsius, with a design life of ten years.
