DENSO COBOTTA PRO 1300

COBOTTA PRO 1300 is the larger of the two collaborative arms DENSO WAVE unveiled at its open house on 3 March 2022, with sales starting the following month. It carries 12 kg on a 1300 mm arm that sweeps a 1304 mm working radius and reaches 1463 mm fully extended, and weighs about 41 kg. Its headline number is a tool centre point speed of 2500 mm/s outside collaborative operation, which the manufacturer positions against five- and six-axis industrial robots rather than against other cobots. The trade-off against the smaller COBOTTA PRO 900 is visible in the joint figures: the heavier arm turns its first joint at 180 deg/s instead of 240 deg/s, and repeatability loosens from +/-0.03 to +/-0.04 mm in each of the X, Y and Z directions. In collaborative operation both models are limited to 1800 mm/s, rising to 2000 mm/s with the optional touch-sensing soft cover. Allowable wrist moments roughly double those of the 900: 38.5 Nm around the fourth axis against 20 Nm. Acceleration comes from a proprietary high-rigidity torque sensor on lightweight arm axes, with air lines and I/O routed inside the arm to the flange. The controller is the CRC9, a collaborative derivative of DENSO's RC9, which can be paired with the company's 3D vision and general-purpose AI software. Protection is IP54 with a separate ISO 14644-1 Class 5 clean version; noise stays below 65 dB. Both models sell at open price, and the pair received an iF Design Award announced on 14 April 2022.
