COBOTTA PRO 900 is the lighter half of the pair DENSO WAVE showed for the first time at its open house on 3 March 2022 and put on sale in April that year. It shares its body concept with the larger COBOTTA PRO 1300 but stays a one-person machine: 29 kg, a 900 mm arm that sweeps a 908 mm working radius and reaches 1066 mm at full extension. The selling point is speed rather than payload. Outside collaborative operation the tool centre point runs at 2100 mm/s, which is industrial-robot territory rather than cobot territory, and the first joint turns at 240 deg/s — faster than the 1300, whose heavier arm is capped at 180 deg/s. Payload is 6 kg and repeatability is +/-0.03 mm in each of the X, Y and Z directions, again the tighter of the two models. In collaborative operation the speed limit drops to 1800 mm/s, or 2000 mm/s if the optional touch-sensing soft cover is fitted — an unusual case where a safety accessory raises rather than lowers throughput. The arm runs on the CRC9 controller, a collaborative variant of DENSO's RC9, with pneumatic lines and I/O routed inside the arm to the flange. Protection is IP54, with a separate ISO 14644-1 Class 5 clean version, noise stays below 65 dB and the declared standards are ISO 10218-1:2011, ISO 13849-1:2015 and ISO/TS 15066:2016. DENSO sells both models at open price and publishes no list figure. The pair won an iF Design Award announced on 14 April 2022.
