CR10AF sits between the 5 kg and 20 kg arms of the CRAF line that Dobot introduced in 2025. It carries 10 kg within a 1,300 mm working radius at +/-0.03 mm repeatability - the same three figures the manufacturer publishes for the plain CR10A, because CRAF is the CRA arm with a high-resolution six-axis force sensor integrated at the flange rather than a new mechanism. The sensor changes how the arm is programmed and how it works against a surface. Dobot quotes a drag-start force below 2 N, so the whole flange - an active drag zone with a ring status light and a press-to-drag button - can be led by hand, with 0.1 mm point-to-point accuracy claimed for that hand teaching and an option to lock orientation while the path is being taught. In production the arm keeps contact force constant with automatic compensation, which is what grinding and polishing need, and can scan a surface to pick up variations such as a change in table height. Collision detection runs through the same sensor with sensitivity down to 1 N, against a structure Dobot rates for 2,000 N of impact. The force channel is wired so that it does not take up the tool-side RS485 or I/O ports, leaving them for a gripper or the VX500 camera. For a 10 kg arm the reach is the figure worth noting: 1,300 mm puts it 400 mm beyond the CR5AF, which is a different class of workcell. Dobot's series page publishes payload, radius and repeatability for the CRAF arms and nothing else, so mass, power draw and ingress protection are documented in this catalogue only for the CRA arms the line is derived from.
