Sealed IP68 edition of Dobot's 10 kg cobot for wet, dusty and oily workshops — and half the top speed of the arm it is based on.
CR10AP is the sealed member of Dobot's CRA-IP68 line, a three-arm range announced on 19 February 2025 for workshops where a standard cobot would not survive: cutting and grinding dust, washdown humidity and oil mist. It carries 10 kg over a working radius of 1300 mm. Sealing is the whole point of the variant, and Dobot describes how it is done rather than only claiming a rating. The exterior parts are made of fluororubber, chosen for chemical stability and corrosion resistance, and the arm runs an internal pneumatic system that keeps it under positive pressure so that liquids and dust are pushed out rather than drawn in. The IP68 rating was certified by SGS under IEC 60529 after a 72-hour test. Dobot states plainly that the arm is nonetheless not suitable for prolonged use underwater. Two qualifications belong next to that rating. First, IP68 covers the arm only — the control cabinet that comes with it is rated IP54, so the sealed robot still needs a cabinet kept out of the spray. Second, the sealing costs speed: Dobot gives the IP68 range a maximum linear speed of 2 m/s, while the standard CRA arms the range is built on are listed at 4 m/s. The manufacturer does not comment on the difference anywhere in its materials. Accuracy is quoted at series level and matches the standard family: repeatability up to ±0.02 mm and absolute positioning accuracy below 0.4 mm. Dobot publishes no separate datasheet for the individual IP68 models — mass, joint ranges, joint speeds and power draw are not restated for the sealed version, so this profile lists only what the manufacturer prints for the range itself. Target work is welding, machine loading and unloading, gluing and transport in harsh environments.
