The strongest arm Dobot sells: 30 kg of payload on 70 kg of machine, added to the range in March 2026. It lifts half as much again as the CR20A while reaching 395 mm less far, and weighs three kilograms less.
CR30A raised the ceiling of Dobot's collaborative range from 20 to 30 kg. What makes it interesting is what it gave up to get there: a working radius of 1,305 mm against the CR20A's 1,700 mm, and a maximum linear speed of 4 m/s against 5.5 m/s. It is nonetheless three kilograms lighter than the CR20A at 70 kg, on the same 500 W supply, the same joint speeds and the same +/-0.05 mm repeatability - so the extra 10 kg of payload comes out of reach and speed rather than out of a bigger, heavier structure. Dobot published no launch announcement for it; the model entered the specification table between January and July 2026 and its product image was uploaded on 20 March 2026, which is where this catalogue takes the year from. Common to the CRA series: six rotary axes, a stand-alone safety controller rated PLd Cat.3 with more than twenty safety functions, certification to ISO 13849-1, ISO 10218-1 and ISO/TS 15066, laser calibration giving absolute positioning accuracy under 0.4 mm, an electromagnetic brake that engages within 18 ms and holds position within 1 mm on power loss, 24 digital inputs and outputs with both PNP and NPN switching, and Modbus TCP/RTU, EtherNet/IP and PROFINET as standard. The arm runs DobotStudio Pro; a 10.1-inch teach pendant, the SafeSkin proximity layer (15 cm pre-collision sensing, 0.01 s monitoring, 0.1 s response) and the VX500 five-megapixel smart camera are optional. Dobot rates the joints of this generation at up to 223 deg/s and claims a 25% shorter cycle time than the previous CR series. Two inconsistencies in Dobot's own published data are worth recording rather than hiding. The series comparison table gives this family maximum linear speeds of 3 to 5.5 m/s, while the CR20A product page puts maximum TCP speed at 2,000 mm/s - a gap of nearly threefold that the manufacturer does not explain. And in the same comparison table the ingress-protection row for the two largest models displays a repeatability figure instead of an IP rating; the CR20A product page states IP54 for both arm and control box, which is what this catalogue publishes.
