Dolphin Wave 90i

Dolphin Wave 90i is a mains-powered commercial pool robot from Maytronics, sold for apartment blocks, condominiums and smaller hotel pools up to 20 metres (66 feet) long. Like the rest of the commercial Wave range it never received a launch press release, so the catalogue frames its year from the manufacturer's own pages: a product card for the machine was already live in December 2023, while dealers marketed it as a novelty of the 2024 season. We record 2023 as the earliest documented year rather than an announced premiere. What separates it from every other machine in the line is connectivity. It is the only commercial Wave that works with the MyDolphin Plus application, and the only one with a weekly timer, an automation mode and a delayed start - the last of these lets an operator postpone a cycle so that suspended dirt settles to the floor first. The rest of the range is run from a separate remote control alone, which the 90i also has. The trade-off is on the cleaning side. The 90i covers the floor and the walls but does not scrub the waterline, which the smaller and cheaper Wave 30 does, and it carries a two-year warranty against the three years of that machine. It compensates with equipment the cheaper models lack: an active brush, a top-access filter bag that is lifted out without touching debris, and a full-filter indicator. The robot weighs 10.9 kg, moves 17 cubic metres of water an hour, runs a three-hour default cycle and works on 24 metres of anti-tangling swivel cable. Maytronics publishes no list price for the commercial line; the machines are sold through the dealer channel.
