A0509F

The A0509F is the food-and-beverage build of Doosan Robotics' A-SERIES, the Korean maker's lightweight, agile line. It was announced on 17 April 2023 in the same launch that introduced thirteen new cobots across the P, H, M, A and E families. Mechanically it is the A0509: a six-axis collaborative arm carrying 5 kg over a 900 mm reach, repeating to 0.03 mm. The A-SERIES splits into three builds at each size - the plain model, an S version with a force/torque sensor at the wrist, and this F version certified by NSF for food hygiene. The same three-way split exists at 9 kg and 1200 mm as the A0912, A0912S and A0912F. The reason to read this robot beside its stablemate is that Doosan answers the same question twice. The E-SERIES E0509 has identical payload and reach, also carries NSF certification, and adds an IP66 rating with sealed gaps between the axes so it can be washed down without a protective jacket. It repeats to 0.05 mm. The A0509F, with the hygiene certificate but no published IP figure on its product page, repeats to 0.03 mm. Sealing a robot for wash-down costs two hundredths of a millimetre of precision, and Doosan lets buyers choose which they need rather than pretending the choice does not exist. For a plant that cleans by wiping rather than hosing, the A0509F is the more accurate machine; for a kitchen with a hose, it is the wrong one. Doosan lists the same food applications for both robots - fryer work, hand-drip coffee, noodle cooking - and also points the A0509F at healthcare operations, inspection workflows and bonding. Programming runs on the Dart-Suite platform. The manufacturer does not publish the arm's own mass, per-axis speeds or a list price on the product page, and this catalogue leaves those fields empty rather than take numbers from distributor listings.
