Entry-level window-cleaning robot: the smallest WINBOT, mains-powered, built to reach panes a full-size machine cannot enter.
The WINBOT MINI is Ecovacs' entry-level window-cleaning robot, shown at CES 2025 in January alongside the larger WINBOT W2 PRO OMNI. It is the plugged-in counterpart to the company's flagship glass robots: where the WINBOT W2S PRO OMNI works cordless for 110 minutes and hangs from a counterweight station, the MINI runs off a 4.7 m mains cable and keeps its 3,000 mAh battery purely as a fall-safe, holding the robot on the pane for 30 minutes if the power goes out. What the price buys is size. At 215 x 215 x 55 mm and 1.3 kg - 37 percent smaller and 30 percent thinner than the previous WINBOT, by the manufacturer's own figures - it reaches windows a bigger machine cannot enter: panes with a side as short as 22 cm, windows with guard rails and security bars, and windows with handles sitting only 50 to 80 mm off the glass. Dropping the bumper rail lets the 215 mm pad sit flush against the frame, which Ecovacs rates at 99.5 percent edge coverage. Cleaning is wet: ultrasonic atomisation turns the 60 ml tank into a mist of 10-micrometre droplets, enough for about 25 square metres per fill in fast mode, at roughly three minutes per square metre. Navigation is the WIN-SLAM 3.0 algorithm, which measures the frame, plans a route, detects obstacles from 4 mm upwards and resumes after an interruption. Safety is the nine-stage system Ecovacs uses across the line: 7,500 Pa peak suction and 3,200 Pa while moving, a floating pad plate, an optocoupler edge sensor reacting in 0.02 seconds, automatic pressure compensation within 0.04 seconds of a leak, and a 3.3 m nylon-and-latex rope rated to at least 1,900 N. Two notes for buyers. The manufacturer's own spec sheet lists four spray nozzles, while its retail listings describe the same machine as dual-nozzle. And the model already has a successor: the WINBOT mini 2, on the global site since 2026, keeps the 215 mm footprint but raises suction to 8,000 Pa and moves to WIN-SLAM 4.0.
