Elite Robots CS68

Elite Robots CS68 is a six-axis collaborative arm from the CS series of Elite Robots of Suzhou, sitting between the 6 kg CS66 and the 12 kg CS612. It handles 8 kg over a working radius of 820 mm, repeats to +/-0.02 mm, weighs 22 kg and draws 250 W in typical use. Together with the smaller CS63 and CS66 it belongs to the precise end of the family: those three are the only CS arms rated +/-0.02 mm, while every model from 12 kg upwards is specified at +/-0.03 mm or worse. The CS68 also has the quickest wrist in the series - all three wrist axes turn at 230 deg/s against 180 deg/s on the 16 and 18 kg arms - even though its maximum tool-point speed of 2.8 m/s is lower, because a shorter arm sweeps a smaller arc at the same joint speed. All six joints rotate +/-360 degrees, base, shoulder and elbow at 150 deg/s. The arm stands on a 150 mm base, is rated IP68, works from -10 to 50 C at up to 90% relative humidity without condensation and comes with a 5.5 m cable. The tool connector carries four configurable digital outputs and four digital inputs, one analogue input and one analogue output, 12/24 V at 3 A in three-pin mode and RS485 for tool-side communication. It runs from the ERB3C600 control cabinet, with a compact ERB1C600ME-Mini as an option, and is programmed from the ERP500 pendant. The manufacturer lists ISO 10218-1, ISO 13849, ISO/TS 15066, RoHS, CE, UL, SEMI and ISO Class 5 cleanroom compliance for this arm - the SEMI and cleanroom entries point at semiconductor and electronics work rather than general factory duty. Elite Robots does not date individual models. The CS68 sits inside the original run of CS catalogue pages alongside the 2022 arms CS63, CS66 and CS612, and shares a flange drawing with them, which is the basis for the year given here.
