ES616 sits between the two extremes of the heavy half of the ES line, and it is the arm that makes the line's trade-off legible. It lifts 16 kg — four more than the ES612 — while keeping the same +/-0.03 mm repeatability, and it does so by pulling the working radius back from 1304 mm to 1100 mm. Push the payload up by another 2 kg, as the ES618 does, and the manufacturer's repeatability figure drops to +/-0.05 mm even though that arm reaches shorter still. ES616 is therefore the last point in the family where extra payload costs only reach and not precision. The joint speeds are the same as on the ES612 — 100 deg/s at base and shoulder, 127 at the elbow, 153 at the three wrist axes — but maximum tool speed is lower, 2.4 m/s against 2.8, which is what the shorter arm geometry produces. Typical power draw is 435 W, the figure shared by the heavy ES arms, and mass is 33 kg. The base is 128 mm across — the same as on the ES612, the ES618 and the 3 kg ES63; only the three mid-size arms stand on a wider 150 mm base. Everything else follows the ES pattern: IP67 across the whole arm, +/-360 degrees on all six joints, mounting at any angle, and a tool flange with 2 digital inputs, 2 digital outputs, a 24 V 1.5 A supply and RS485. The standard cabinet is the ERB3C600 with a Mini cabinet as an option, and the ERP500 pendant is standard with a safety-rated version available. Elite Robots lists the model in its Chinese catalogue only.
