The GX4C is the compact member of Epson's GX SCARA family, documented in a manufacturer specification sheet dated February 2025. Where the GX8C serves general assembly lines, this arm is built for the smallest and most precise work in the range: connector insertion, screwdriving, dispensing and inspection of components measured in millimetres. Its distinguishing number is repeatability. The first two joints hold +/-0.008 mm, roughly twice as tight as the +/-0.015 mm of the larger GX8C, with +/-0.01 mm on the vertical axis and +/-0.005 degrees on the wrist. Rated payload is 2 kg with a 4 kg maximum, the arm reaches 250, 300 or 350 mm - the longest version using a distinctive curved arm to fold into tighter cells - and the vertical stroke is 150 mm, cut to 120 mm on cleanroom models. A standard cycle takes about 0.33 to 0.35 seconds in boost mode. At 15 to 17 kg the whole machine is light enough for one person to reposition, and single-phase 200-240 V power at 1.2 kVA means no special supply. Like the rest of the C generation it runs on the RC800A controller and carries Epson's SafeSense safety functions and GYROPLUS quartz gyro vibration damping. Standard, ESD, standalone ESD and ISO Class 3 cleanroom variants are offered; the fourth axis turns +/-360 degrees and accepts up to 0.05 kg·m2 of inertia. This is a fenced industrial robot, not a collaborative arm.
