Flexiv Rizon 10

Rizon 10 was soft-launched in February 2021 for what Flexiv calls high-payload work, and won a Red Dot "Best of the Best" award in June 2022 — the same month the company closed a 100 million dollar Series B+ and became a unicorn. It is the same idea as the Rizon 4 scaled up rather than a different machine: seven rotary axes, whole-body force sensitivity, direct force control, and the same ±0.05 mm pose repeatability to ISO 9283 that the small arms hold. What grows is muscle. Payload goes from 4 to 10 kg, maximum force at the tool point from 200 to 350 N, and the arm itself from 20 to 38 kg — nearly double the mass for two and a half times the payload. What grows much less is reach: 941 mm against 876 mm on the Rizon 4, an increase of 65 mm. That makes the heavy model a stronger arm in roughly the same working envelope, which suits the jobs Flexiv names for it — carrying grinders, polishers and other end-of-arm tools whose weight alone would consume a 4 kg budget. The price of that strength is sensitivity: force sensing accuracy is 0.2 N, the coarsest in the range and twice that of the Rizon 4. Buyers who need both size and fine touch are steered to the Rizon 10s. Everything else is family standard: IP65, 0 to 45 °C, 20-80% humidity, under 70 dB, ISO 9409-1-50-4-M6 tool flange, typical tool speed 1.0 m/s, mounting at any angle including on an AMR or AGV. Control is the Hesper cabinet — 12 kg, 500 W, IP20, 423 × 230 × 230 mm, 16 digital inputs and 16 digital outputs, PROFINET and Modbus TCP/IP — programmed from a drag-and-drop teach pendant running Flexiv Elements, with the Flexiv RDK and a ROS 2 driver for developers. Flexiv publishes no joint speeds, no arm power consumption, no safety performance level and no list price for this model. Secondary listings quoting a 1015 mm reach do not match the manufacturer's own table, which says 941 mm.
