The workhorse size of JAKA's original family: 7 kg of payload on an 819 mm arm weighing 22 kg, still holding the ±0.02 mm repeatability of the small arms. Programmed from a phone or tablet, with no teach pendant in the box.
The Zu7 is the middle of JAKA's original collaborative range, introduced by the Shanghai manufacturer with the rest of the Zu series in 2017. It lifts 7 kg, reaches 819 mm, weighs 22 kg with cables and draws 350 W in typical use — the same power budget and the same 158 mm footprint as the 3 kg Zu3, on an arm 193 mm longer. Its most useful property is that it is still a precision arm. Repeatability is ±0.02 mm, the figure JAKA quotes for its shortest models and one it gives up at 12 kg and above. Within this family the boundary is clear: arms up to 7 kg hold ±0.02 mm, the 12 and 18 kg arms ±0.03 mm, and everything from 20 kg up ±0.05 mm. The Zu7 is therefore the largest JAKA arm that still works to the tightest tolerance the company publishes. The arm is sealed to IP54 and pairs with the series' shared control cabinet — 410 × 307 × 235 mm, 15.4 kg, IP44, with 16 digital inputs, 16 digital outputs and two analogue channels, speaking Modbus TCP and RTU, PROFINET and EtherNet/IP off 100–240 V mains. There is no teach pendant: programming is graphical, from a phone, tablet or laptop, with hand-guided teaching for setting points. JAKA sells the size into screwdriving, flexible assembly, gluing, handling and welding cells, and offers a force-control package the company rates for payloads from 3 to 18 kg — which puts the Zu7 in the middle of its supported range rather than at an edge of it. What is missing here is missing at the source: JAKA publishes no joint speeds, no maximum tool speed, no safety performance level and no list price for this model. Its parameter table is also shifted by one row, so the fields labelled "Degree of freedom" and "Humidity" display values belonging elsewhere; they were not copied into this profile.
