KR1805 reaches 1800 mm, twice the radius of the KR810, and was shown with it at Automatica 2018 before the 2019 market launch. The cost of that radius is payload: 5 kg, the same as the much shorter KR1205, on an arm that weighs 38 kg - the only model where the manual and the product page agree on mass. Reach at this scale is normally the preserve of industrial arms bolted to a floor plate. Here it comes on the same 160 x 160 mm base as the 18 kg KR1018, with joints 1-4 at 163 deg/s and the wrist at 225 deg/s, and with the payload centre of gravity allowed to sit half the nominal reach plus 250 mm from joints 3 and 4 - the widest allowance in the range, and a direct consequence of the long links. The seventh axis matters more here than anywhere else in the family: at 1.8 m the elbow of a six-axis arm sweeps a large volume, while the redundant joint lets the operator park it out of the way and still hit the same tool pose. Kassow publishes no repeatability for this model, as for all others of its generation; power draw is 400-1200 W, protection IP54, and the arm is declared as partly completed machinery under the Machinery Directive.
