Kassow Robots KR1824

Announced on 10 April 2026 together with the KR1240, the KR1824 is the reach model of the pair. Its 1800 mm is not new - the KR1805 has covered that radius since 2019 - but it did so with the payload cut to 5 kg. The KR1824 keeps the radius and carries 24 kg, nearly five times as much, which turns a long thin arm into one that can actually stack cases at the far end of its envelope. The arm shares the new joint generation with the KR1240: 1.5x joint torque, 40 percent more mechanical stiffness and the fastest wrist in the series at 270 deg/s on joints 5 to 7, against 225 deg/s on the earlier models. Joints 1 and 2 turn at 110 deg/s and joints 3 and 4 at 162 deg/s. The arm weighs 76 kg against the 38 kg of the KR1805, and the base grows from 160 x 160 mm to 194 x 194 mm - the price of the extra torque. Repeatability is +/-0.05 mm. That is unremarkable in absolute terms and looser than the KR1240, but notable because Kassow published no repeatability at all for its first five arms. Protection is IP55, one step below the KR1240, and the noise ceiling is 66 dB(A). The manufacturer targets palletising, packaging, logistics and end-of-line automation, and offers the model in the Edge Edition with the controller inside the base for mobile platforms.
