LBR iisy 11 R1300 CR

KUKA · Germany · 2024

The LBR iisy 11 R1300 CR is a separate catalogue number, not an accessory: a factory-built cleanroom version of KUKA's long-arm 11 kg cobot, rated up to ISO Class 3. It appeared on the family page during 2024, roughly two years after the standard model, and was the first cleanroom build in the range. The interesting part is what KUKA does not attach to the rating. Universal Robots quotes ISO Class 4 for the UR15 only at up to 80 percent of speed and payload; ABB qualifies its own cleanroom figure at half speed. KUKA publishes no such condition here — the CR is a different robot rather than a standard robot asked to behave. That is the more expensive answer for the buyer and the more honest one for the specification sheet, and it is why a cleanroom line that needs both particle class and cycle time ends up comparing these two approaches rather than two numbers. Mechanically it is the family's long arm: 11 kg of total load over 1300 mm on six axes, a joint torque sensor in every axis, KR C5 micro-2 control and iiQKA.OS2 software. Protection is IP54 as on the standard model, and the arm is ESD-compliant to IEC 61340-5-1 — relevant, since electronics and semiconductor work is where this variant belongs. Mounting is floor, wall, ceiling or angle, and fenceless operation remains possible after a risk assessment. One structural observation about the range: cleanroom versions exist only at the top of it. The 11 and 15 kg builds have CR variants; the 3, 6 and 8 kg models do not. Laboratory and electronics work often calls for a small arm, so a buyer who needs ISO Class 3 in this family has to take the large machine whether the task requires it or not. KUKA does not publish pose repeatability, arm weight or per-axis speeds for this model, and no list price is given; sales run through integrators and the KUKA Marketplace.
