Segway Navimow i2 LiDAR

The Navimow i2 LiDAR appeared in the manufacturer's European store on 3 February 2026 and is the cheapest way into Segway's wire-free garden range, sold in three area-limited variants: i208 for 800 square metres at EUR 1,199, i215 for 1,500 at EUR 1,399 and i220 for 2,000 at EUR 1,599. It matters because of what Segway took out. The company built its reputation on RTK satellite positioning with a reference antenna the owner had to mount outdoors, and the accessory shelf for older i-series machines still sells antenna extension kits and mounting brackets. The i2 LiDAR carries none of that: navigation runs on a lidar paired with a camera, so the machine maps and localises from the shape of the garden itself rather than from a satellite fix, and the manufacturer stresses that it keeps working under trees and at night, where signal-based mowers degrade. Mapping starts on the first click, and the resulting map is edited as a full-colour, true-to-life view of the garden with adjustable zones. Obstacle handling is quoted at more than 200 recognised types with 1 cm precision, aimed at pets, children and garden ornaments. The drivetrain is deliberately modest next to the flagship X4: off-road wheels with electronic speed control handle slopes up to 45 percent (24 degrees), the single cutting disc carries six blades on a motor rated at 100 W peak, drive speed is 0.5 m/s and the blade motor turns at 2,500 rpm, giving a noise figure of 59 dB(A) under laboratory no-load conditions. Mowing area per charge is 265 square metres for the i208, 426 for the i215 and 560 for the i220. Buyers should note the gaps in the manufacturer's own listing: Segway's European pages publish no cutting width, no cutting height range, no mass and no battery capacity for this model, and a separate i2 LiDAR Pro line sits above it with a steeper 55 percent slope rating.
