Segway Navimow X4

The Navimow X4 is the flagship garden robot of Segway-Ninebot, listed in the manufacturer's European store from 16 March 2026 in three variants that share one machine and differ only in the lawn area they are licensed for: X420 for 2,000 square metres at EUR 2,499, X430 for 3,000 at EUR 2,799 and X450 for 5,000 at EUR 3,199. Its defining feature is the setup. Earlier Navimow generations positioned themselves with a local RTK reference antenna that the owner had to mount on a mast with a clear view of the sky. The X4 drops it: the EFLS NRTK system takes its correction data from a network RTK service over a built-in cellular link, and Segway states that both the service and the mobile data are included at no extra cost, with coverage checked by postcode before purchase. Positioning combines tri-frequency RTK with a 360-degree AI vision system the manufacturer calls VisionFence, credited with recognising more than 200 obstacle types, and the garden map is built in a single one-tap automatic run and then edited on a photographic view of the real scene. Mechanically the X4 is built for ground that stops other mowers: four-wheel drive with dual suspension, vertical steps up to 7 cm and slopes up to 84 percent (40 degrees). Steering uses eccentric front-wheel control that Segway markets as Xero-Turn, intended to pivot without tearing the turf. The cutting deck carries two discs driven by a pair of 180 W motors across a 430 mm swathe with twelve 0.9 mm blades, cutting height runs from 20 to 95 mm in up to eight fine layers with a claimed accuracy of plus or minus 5 mm, travel speed reaches 0.8 m/s and charging runs at 224 W for a full battery in about 75 minutes. Noise is rated below 68 dB(A) under laboratory no-load conditions. Per-charge mowing area is quoted as 675 square metres for the X420 and 1,300 for the X450. Two gaps are worth naming: Segway's European store publishes no mass, no dimensions and no battery capacity for this model, and the network RTK service is only as good as the cellular coverage of the individual garden, which shifts the risk of a bad signal from the owner's mast to the operator's network.
