SR-06M-Y is the current LTE model of Sharp's pocket humanoid and the only one in the range that arrived without an announcement. There is no press release for it: the machine simply appeared in the manufacturer's specification table in the autumn of 2023 and went on sale in Japan on 1 March 2024, a date documented by retailers rather than by Sharp itself. Mechanically and electronically it is the 2019 robot carried forward. It stands 19.8 cm tall, weighs about 395 g, walks on two legs, gets up after a fall, recognises speech and faces, sings and dances, and runs on a Snapdragon 430 octa-core with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. Connectivity is the full set: LTE and 3G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS, so this RoBoHoN is again a working telephone. The 1,700 mAh battery and the roughly 130-minute charge are unchanged, as is the nine-axis motion unit, the ambient light sensor and the 8-megapixel camera. The single documented difference from SR-03M-Y is the display, which drops from about 2.6 inches to about 2.4 inches. In a robot whose screen sits in its back and is used mostly for setup and photo review, that is a minor change — but it is the one line in the comparison table that separates the two generations, and it makes SR-06M-Y easy to mistake for its predecessor. The robot shares a user manual with the SR-S05BJ, SR-S06BJ and SR-S07BJ units built for a business reseller, which suggests one hardware generation sold through several channels. It is listed at 239,800 yen, raised from 217,800 on 1 August 2025, with the compulsory Cocoro Plan subscription at 1,078 yen a month.
