The K20+ Pro is SwitchBot's attempt to answer a question most vacuum makers avoid: once a robot can already map a home and drive around it safely, why should it only carry a dustbin? The machine is deliberately small - 248 x 248 x 92 mm and 2.3 kg, which the company markets as the world's smallest robot vacuum - so it can work under chairs and sofa fronts that a standard 350 mm disc cannot enter. On top of the vacuum sits the actual idea: a separate Mobile Base weighing 4 kg, locked to the robot with a mechanism SwitchBot calls ClawLock. Modules ride on that base - an air purifier, a pan-and-tilt camera head, a battery fan from the company's own catalogue - and the vacuum becomes the drivetrain that moves them from room to room. The camera module is sold on pet owners: the robot follows the animal around the house instead of waiting on a shelf. Cleaning itself is modest by 2025 standards at 4,000 Pa of suction, which places the K20+ Pro well below flagship vacuums; the platform, not the airflow, is what the buyer pays for. Navigation uses LiDAR with 3D obstacle detection, and the dock collects debris from both the robot and the company's separate sweeper into one 3-litre bag, which SwitchBot rates for about 70 days between changes. Control runs through the SwitchBot app, Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri Shortcuts. The practical limit is worth stating plainly, because the manufacturer states it too: alone the robot climbs obstacles of up to 20 mm, but with a platform loaded on top it may fail on a lip as low as 3 mm. A carrier robot in a home with thresholds is therefore a room-by-room device rather than a whole-floor one. Listed at 699.99 US dollars in the US, EU and UK versions.
