Techman TM30S

The TM30S is the heaviest-lifting arm Techman sells. It carries 30 kg over a reach of 1702 mm and, in a palletising pose, the manufacturer rates it to 35 kg — a figure the company used at launch to claim a lead over comparable 30 kg cobots. The arm itself weighs 82 kg. It was unveiled at Automate in Chicago in May 2024 and shown again at Robot Technology Japan in Nagoya that July. Its working brief is depalletising, push stacking, machine tool loading and automotive assembly. Techman pairs the arm with a 3D camera that measures box volume and position, and with AI models trained to recognise tilted, nested and tape-wrapped cartons, so that a mixed pallet can be broken down without a fixture that assumes every box is the same. A built-in force-torque sensor gives the arm contact control for fitting and stacking work rather than pure position moves. The precision figure needs the same caution as on the TM25S. Techman markets the S series on a repeatability of plus/minus 0.03 mm, up to 70 percent better than its earlier line, and the launch coverage repeats that number. The manufacturer's current product page for the TM30S states plus/minus 0.05 mm, as it does for the TM25S, while every smaller S arm is listed at plus/minus 0.03 mm. This catalogue follows the per-model page: the two heavy arms are the exception to the series claim, not examples of it. Everything else is the S platform. IP65 on the arm allows washdown, the control box is IP54, the sixth axis turns at 450 degrees per second against 225 on the earlier line for a stated 25 percent cycle-time gain, and safety covers up to 31 TUV-certified functions rated PL d, Cat 3 under ISO 13849-1 and compliant with the current ISO 10218-1, with SGS certification for UL and CSA and a Declaration of Incorporation in Europe. Vision is built in and AI-based - classification, object detection, semantic segmentation, anomaly detection, trained on the TM AI+ Training Server - and programming runs in TMflow 2 with a Script Node for compiled code and TMcraft for custom operator interfaces. No list price is published.
