ugo Ex (G4)

ugo Ex is the stripped-down member of the fourth-generation ugo family, sold for sites where a robot has to walk a beat rather than operate a building. It shares the platform announced by ugo Inc. on 30 November 2022 and released in 2023, but leaves out the part that makes ugo Pro expensive: the arms. What replaces them is a bare extendable mounting pole built from standard aluminium framing, which the customer drills, bolts and populates. The manufacturer publishes the frame dimensions, the mounting area and even the formula for recalculating the centre of gravity, and supplies two 900 mm L-shaped cushions to pad the edges of whatever gets built. Two USB Type-C ports deliver 100 W each for powering added equipment. This is a robot sold as a chassis, not as a finished appliance, and the trade is explicit: no arms means no lift buttons and no floor changes, so ugo Ex covers a single level. Without the arms it stands the same 1,800 mm tall but narrows to 375 mm and drops to about 45 kg, against 58 kg for ugo Pro. Two HD cameras front and rear give 360-degree coverage; navigation uses 2D LiDAR, an ultrasonic sensor, a barometric pressure sensor and a marker sensor for automatic docking. It runs about eight hours on standby or four hours driving at the default 1.9 km/h, tops out at 3.6 km/h, and recharges in about two and a half hours, either by returning to its station on its own or through a plugged-in connector. Like the rest of the range it is managed from ugo Platform, the company's cloud console, and the customer supplies the wireless LAN adapter or the mobile router and SIM for 4G or 5G. The depth sensor listed on the cart is present in hardware but, as the manufacturer states in its own documentation, not yet usable.
