The long arm of the e-Series: 1,300 mm of reach, the same as models launched seven years later. Its payload label changed once - from 10 to 12.5 kg in May 2021, at an unchanged price - so two different ratings for the same model name are in service today.

The UR10e is the largest of the three arms Universal Robots introduced when it launched the e-Series at the automatica fair in Munich on 19 June 2018, with shipments from 1 August 2018. It is the reach model of the family: 1,300 mm, which is exactly what the UR30 of 2023 and the UR15 of 2025 offer. Seven years of new products have not extended that number; they have added payload and accuracy around it. The payload figure needs a date attached. The UR10e launched as a 10 kg arm. On 17 May 2021 Universal Robots announced an enhanced UR10e rated at 12.5 kg, a 25 percent increase, with orders open immediately, shipments from the second half of June 2021 and, notably, no change in price. The company did not state whether arms already installed could be re-rated, and its own PolyScope 5 user manual still prints the payload row as 10 kg or 12.5 kg - which is the honest way to describe a model that exists in the field under two different ratings. A buyer of a used UR10e should establish which one is on the bench. The rest of the arm is the heavier end of e-Series engineering. It weighs 33.5 kg with cable and stands on a 190 mm footprint. Maximum tool centre point speed is 4 m/s. Base and shoulder joints turn at up to 120 degrees per second and the elbow and three wrist joints at up to 180; all six travel +/-360 degrees and the tool flange rotates without limit. Pose repeatability is +/-0.05 mm per ISO 9283, half the accuracy of the smaller UR3e and UR5e - the trade that comes with reach in this family. The integrated force-torque sensor covers +/-100 N and +/-10 Nm with an accuracy of +/-5.5 N, twice the range of the UR5e, which is what makes force-controlled palletising and heavy machine tending practical. The arm is IP54 and rated for ISO Class 6 cleanrooms, works from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius at up to 90 percent non-condensing humidity, draws 615 W at maximum and around 350 W under moderate settings, and stays below 65 dB(A). Twenty-one configurable safety functions are certified to EN ISO 13849-1 PLd Category 3 and EN ISO 10218-1. The M8 eight-pin tool connector provides two digital inputs, two digital outputs and either two analogue inputs or one RS-485 line at 12 or 24 V, at up to 2 A on dual pins. Universal Robots, founded in Odense and owned by Teradyne, sells through integrators and publishes no list price.
