WYBOT S3

The S3 is the top of WYBOT's range and the company's answer to the same problem Beatbot attacked a few months earlier: what happens after the robot finishes. It listed in the manufacturer's own store on 20 March 2026 at 2,499.99 dollars, and it is built around a shore-based dock. When the battery runs low or a cycle ends, the robot drives itself back, recharges and unloads its debris into a 10-litre self-sanitising bin on land, which the manufacturer says brings maintenance down to roughly once a month. The dock takes power either from a DC supply or from a solar panel. WYBOT's claim to novelty is the navigation. On its first run the robot scans the pool and builds a three-dimensional map, then plans a route from it instead of following a fixed pattern; in the vision-based mode, which works on the floor only, a camera adapts the route to what it actually finds. The owner can see the robot's position live in the app and send it to a particular spot. The physical numbers are more modest than the software story. Cleaning covers the floor, the walls and the waterline, but not the water surface — WYBOT sells a separate floating skimmer for that. Average suction is rated at 3,968 gallons per hour through a 180-micrometre basket backed by a 40 ppi sponge, and the machine travels at about 10 metres per minute. A 7,800 mAh battery gives a working cycle of up to 180 minutes and recharges in three and a half hours at 90 watts. The robot is rated IP68 for in-ground outdoor pools up to 300 square metres and water down to three metres, on cement, vinyl liner and mosaic surfaces. It is also a heavy machine to lift out by hand at 21 kilograms, which is part of the argument for the dock. WYBOT gives a two-year warranty. The manufacturer does not publish a launch announcement for the S3; the date above is when the product went on sale in its own store, and the catalogue records it as such. The manufacturer marks the S3 as an IFA 2025 Innovation Award honoree and a Berlin Design Awards 2025 design champion, so the machine was shown publicly in the autumn of 2025, months before it could be bought.
