Motoman NEXT NEX35

The largest Motoman NEXT arm: 35 kg payload, 2,063 mm reach, 370 kg of its own mass. It carries the same NVIDIA Jetson Orin decision unit as the small sizes, but moves at half their speed and holds position to 0.04 mm instead of 0.01 mm.
The NEX35 is the top size of Motoman NEXT and the clearest illustration of what the series costs at scale. Payload rises to 35 kg and reach to 2,063 mm horizontal and 3,715 mm vertical, but the base swings at 180°/s against 375°/s on the NEX7, the tool flange turns at 400°/s against 1,000°/s, and repeatability loosens from 0.01 mm to 0.04 mm. Own mass is 370 kg and supply 2.5 kVA. The adaptive layer does not change with size — the physics of moving a long steel arm does. From the manufacturer's data sheet, edition 06/2026: six controlled axes, IP67 sealing, floor, wall, tilt or ceiling mounting, allowable wrist moments of 110 N·m on the roll and bend axes and 60 N·m on the tool flange, with 4.0 and 1.5 kg·m² of allowable inertia. Motion ranges are ±170° at the base, +180/-82° at the upper arm, ±200° at the arm roll, +215/-35° at the wrist bend and ±360° at the flange. The sheet also carries an allowable wrist load chart: a 35 kg tool must sit within roughly 190 mm of the flange, while a 10 kg one may reach some 500 mm out. One editorial note on the source. Yaskawa's own data sheet is inconsistent about the name — the headline reads NEXT35 while the file, the running head and the catalogue all read NEX35 — and the lower-arm motion range is printed as -140/-90°, a span of 50° that no articulated lower arm has; the neighbouring sizes are given as +135/-100° and +145/-100°, so this is evidently a misprint. We have left the figure out of the specification rather than repeat it. Yaskawa markets this size for assembly, heavy manufacturing, machine tending, warehouse automation and packaging or palletising. Price is on quotation.
