A humanoid with a public price list: EngineAI's T800 rolls off a real production line

Most humanoid robots are announced, demonstrated and then quoted on request. EngineAI, a Shenzhen maker founded by a team out of the country's legged-robot research scene, has done the opposite with its full-size T800: after a global debut at CES in January 2026, the company opened an intelligent manufacturing base in Shenzhen on 29 May 2026 and rolled out the first batch for mass delivery, stating a capacity target of 4,000 to 5,000 units during the year. The more unusual part is the price list, which sits on the product page rather than behind a sales conversation: RMB 180,000 for the Basic version, 240,000 for Development, 280,000 for Pro and 360,000 for Max - roughly 25,000 to 50,000 US dollars at current rates. The versions differ in what the robot can do rather than in badge alone. Basic and Development carry 25 degrees of freedom in the body and an Intel depth camera driven by a Jetson Orin NX with 16 GB. Pro raises the body to 29 degrees of freedom and Max to 32, both adding seven-degree-of-freedom dexterous hands for 43 and 46 in total, and both switching to EngineAI's own dual-lens perception system with lidar on an AGX Orin with 64 GB. The hardware itself is conventional for the class and competent: 173 cm tall, 75 to 85 kg depending on version, a 60 cm arm reach, walking at 3 m/s or more and a maximum joint torque of 450 N.m. The one genuinely forward-looking item is power. The standard pack is a 71.4 V, 20 Ah ternary lithium battery good for four to five hours, but EngineAI also offers a solid-state battery at 74.8 V and 40 Ah - a chemistry that is still mostly a laboratory promise in shipping robots. wujec.ai has added editorial profiles of the T800 and of EngineAI's lighter PM01, alongside four robots from LimX Dynamics, another Shenzhen company backed by Alibaba and JD.com.
