SwitchBot's $9,999 home humanoid has a price, a store page and no way to buy it

Eight months after SwitchBot showed a laundry-loading humanoid at CES 2026, the robot has acquired the one number everybody asked for at the show — and still cannot be ordered. Its page on the maker's own store lists onero H1 at US$9,999 and offers a notify-me button instead of a cart. At CES in January the company would only say it was aiming below ten thousand dollars. That target has now been made concrete on the store page, which went live on 23 January. The listing carries no description, no specification table and no shipping estimate. The separate onero A1 robotic arm, priced at US$799, is in the same state. What SwitchBot has disclosed is modest: 22 degrees of freedom, two arms with a choice of a two-finger gripper or a five-finger hand, several Intel RealSense depth cameras in the head, arms, hands and abdomen, and an in-house vision-language-action model called OmniSense that runs on the robot rather than in the cloud. There is no published height, weight, battery capacity, runtime or payload. The machine has no legs at all: the torso sits on a cylindrical wheeled base derived from the company's vacuum platform. The live demonstration was one task done slowly. The robot took single garments from a sofa, rolled to a washing machine, opened the door, put the item in and closed it — about two minutes per garment over a few steps of floor, by the count of reporters present. Dishwashing, window cleaning and drink serving appear only in promotional video. The price is why this matters. Humanoids sold to industry start around an order of magnitude higher, and a household buyer has had nothing to consider. But a price on a page is not a product in a hallway: SwitchBot's stated plan was to ship late in 2026, which leaves four months, and the store is not taking money yet.
