SwitchBot onero H1

onero H1 is the first humanoid robot from SwitchBot, a Shenzhen-based maker better known for curtain motors, smart locks and robot vacuums. It was shown publicly at CES 2026 in Las Vegas (6-9 January) under a new brand name, onero, alongside a standalone robotic arm called onero A1. The machine skips legs entirely: two articulated arms and a screen-like face sit on an oblong torso mounted on a cylindrical wheeled base, close in concept to the company's own vacuum platform. SwitchBot gives the robot 22 degrees of freedom and offers two hand options - a two-finger gripper, used in the CES demonstration, and a five-finger hand shown in promotional material. Perception comes from several Intel RealSense depth cameras placed in the head, arms, hands and abdomen; the manufacturer says decisions are made by its own vision-language-action model, OmniSense, running on the robot rather than in the cloud. The CES demonstration was deliberately mundane: the robot picked single garments off a sofa, rolled to a washing machine, opened the door, loaded the item and closed it. Reporters present timed roughly two minutes for one garment over a short distance. Promotional video adds dishwashing, window cleaning and serving drinks, none of which has been demonstrated live to press. SwitchBot's pitch is price rather than performance: the company said at launch it was aiming below US$10,000, and its own store now lists onero H1 at US$9,999. That is roughly an order of magnitude under the humanoids sold to industry, and the reason this robot matters to a home buyer. As of September 2026 the listing still cannot be ordered - it shows a notify-me button - and the maker's stated target was shipping late in 2026. No height, weight, battery, runtime or payload figures have been published.
