D1 Edu is the developer edition of AgiBot's compact quadruped, sitting between the closed D1 Pro and the ruggedised D1 Ultra. Mechanically it is the Pro: the same 15.5 kg aluminium and engineering-plastic body, the same twelve joints with 48 N·m peak torque, the same 3.5 m/s top speed, 30-degree slopes, 16 cm stairs and 35 cm vertical jump, all driven by a reinforcement-learning gait controller that adapts to the ground instead of following a scripted walk. What the extra money buys is access. The Edu ships with a supported SDK for secondary development and a set of physical expansion ports — Ethernet, two USB, two power outputs, SBUS and UART — that the Pro simply does not have, so sensors, compute modules and custom payloads up to 5 kg can be bolted on and driven from user code. AgiBot aims it squarely at laboratories and teaching: the package is a robot, a charger and a handheld remote, with real-time video downlink, an 8-core onboard CPU and a one-year hardware warranty. Runtime is the honest limit at one to two hours per charge, and support is self-service — the manufacturer covers hardware faults, while technical problems are left to the buyer.
