D1 Ultra is the industrial end of AgiBot's compact quadruped line, sold alongside the cheaper D1 Pro and the education-oriented D1 Edu. The manufacturer positions it for security patrols, research and interactive deployments, and backs that with a sealed, anti-corrosion build: vacuum press-formed aluminium alloy shafts and dust- and splash-resistant joints meant for damp, muddy and sandy ground. Locomotion is learned rather than scripted — a reinforcement-learning gait controller handles self-balancing, anti-tipping and disturbance rejection, giving 3.7 m/s top speed, 30-degree slopes, continuous 16 cm stairs and a 35 cm jump. Twelve joints deliver up to 48 N·m peak torque, and dual-encoder controllers remove the zero-position calibration step, so the robot walks the moment it is powered on. For developers AgiBot ships an open SDK, standardised payload interfaces and URDF models for Isaac Sim and MuJoCo, with LiDAR, depth cameras and 5G modules supported as add-ons. The trade-off is scale: 5 kg of useful payload and one to two hours per charge make it a patrol and research platform, not a work machine.
