AgiBot Genie G1 Max

Genie G1 Max is AgiBot's answer to flexible manufacturing: loading and unloading machines, plugging in connectors, moving parts between stations. It is not a walking humanoid — the upper body is humanoid, the base is a four-wheel-drive chassis with zero turning radius and crab-walk sideways motion, and the waist lifts and pitches. Together the manufacturer counts 22 degrees of freedom covering the human working envelope. The arms are biomimetic and have seven degrees of freedom each, carry 5 kg per arm and work between floor level and 2 m. AgiBot highlights that they can work in parallel or asynchronously, hand objects over in mid-air and swap which arm holds what — the kind of coordination that separates a two-armed robot from two one-armed robots. The machine measures 770 by 620 by 1630 mm, weighs 230 kg, carries a 2 kWh battery that charges in two hours and runs for five, and supports hot-swap so it need not stop to refuel. Rated working temperature is 0 to 45 degrees Celsius. Perception is layered: a 360-degree lidar, four AI vision sensors and two six-axis force sensors, backed by 275 TOPS of compute. On top of that sit named atomic skills — UniGrasp for grasping, Uni6DPose for pose estimation, UniPlug for insertion — which AgiBot claims give millisecond-scale recognition and decision-making. Retraining for a new part is quoted in hours rather than weeks, thanks to synthetic 3D-model training combined with reinforcement learning. Safety rests on arm collision detection, continuous 360-degree monitoring and redundant perception and control paths. The name is younger than the machine: the product page still serves its graphics from a folder called proA2W. G1 Max is the renamed Expedition A2-W, one of the five commercial humanoids AgiBot unveiled at its annual launch event on 18 August 2024.
