Industrial-grade wheeled humanoid for interactive shop-floor work, built from automotive-grade parts and rated IP42.
Genie G2 is AgiBot's industrial line of embodied working robots, presented at a dedicated launch event on 16 October 2025. It pairs a humanoid upper body with an omnidirectional wheeled base, so it moves like a mobile platform but manipulates like a two-armed humanoid. The manufacturer stresses build quality rather than showmanship: the machine is declared to be made entirely from automotive-grade components and carries an IP42 ingress rating, which is unusual for a humanoid and points at continuous duty in a factory rather than at demonstrations. Assembly work is quoted at sub-millimetre precision, with force control across every joint of the 7-degree-of-freedom arms and a 5 kg payload per arm. Two compute options are offered, and the gap between them is enormous: a high-performance version with an NVIDIA Jetson T5000 rated at 2070 TFLOPS (FP4) and a base version with a Chinese Huixi R1 chip rated at 500 TOPS (INT8). Sensing is redundant by design — two lidars for 360-degree coverage, eight ultrasonic sensors for close-range collision warning, a head RGBD camera, a binocular camera, wrist RGBD cameras and a fisheye array for panoramic video. The second half of the specification is about people. G2 has a face screen for expressions, a three-degree-of-freedom neck that nods, turns and tilts, a microphone array with sound-source localisation and echo cancellation, an 8 W speaker, gaze following and multi-person conversation. A three-degree-of-freedom waist and two-degree-of-freedom folding legs let it change working height, and two hot-swappable batteries with automatic docking keep it running. The tactile hand — 19 degrees of freedom with 3D fingertip sensing — is an option, not standard equipment: the manufacturer states in a footnote that the dexterous hand and the OmniPicker gripper are sold separately.
