AgiBot Lingxi X1

Lingxi X1 is the machine AgiBot gave away. It was unveiled on 18 August 2024 at the company's annual product event, where five commercial humanoids were shown at once — the Yuanzheng A2, A2-W and A2-Max, plus X1 and its wheeled sibling X1-W. On 24 October 2024 the manufacturer kept the promise made at that event and released the complete hardware drawings and source code to developers worldwide, on GitHub and on its own site. The robot itself is deliberately small and light for a humanoid: 130 cm tall, 33 kg, 31 active degrees of freedom, about two hours of running time, a top walking speed of 1 m/s and roughly 0.5 kg of payload per arm. Those numbers put it far below the company's commercial machines, and that is the point — X1 is a platform to learn on and build on, not a machine to put on a production line. The interesting engineering is in the joints. The arms use a hybrid serial-parallel structure and the shoulders are built as differential drives, which lets a light arm keep a usable working envelope without heavy gearboxes at the joint. The manufacturer describes the whole design as modular, lightweight, safe around people and easy to extend — the vocabulary of a development kit rather than a product. What AgiBot does not publish for X1 is as telling as what it does. There is no sensor list, no compute specification and no software stack on the product page: only six headline figures. For a robot whose selling point is that you can rebuild it yourself, the drawings and the repository are the real documentation. X1 remains listed in AgiBot's Lingxi line next to the newer, commercial X2 (2025). The two should not be confused: X2 is a compact interactive humanoid sold as a finished product, X1 is the open blueprint that came first.
