AlphaBot 2

AlphaBot 2 is the industrial humanoid from AI² Robotics, a Shenzhen company that has become one of the best-funded names in Chinese physical AI: a June 2026 round of about 735 million dollars valued it near 3 billion, total funding passed 890 million, and by early August 2026 it was reported to be approaching a Hong Kong listing. The robot itself takes the pragmatic road that several Chinese manufacturers have chosen over full bipedalism. A humanoid upper body with 34 degrees of freedom sits on a six-wheeled base, which removes the balance problem entirely and buys stability and runtime on flat factory floors. A lifting, tilting waist-and-leg mechanism extends the working height to 2.4 metres, so the same machine reaches a low conveyor and a high shelf; arm span is 700 mm. The intelligence layer is AlphaBrain, the company's embodied AI platform, built around unified vision-language-action modelling with real-time motion planning and task decomposition. Sensing is built for close human contact: 360-degree multi-camera vision, microphone arrays, environmental sensors and force feedback in the arms for compliant manipulation. Commercially it is past the demo stage. AI² Robotics holds a multi-year contract to deliver more than 1,000 humanoids to the semiconductor firm HKC Corporation over three years — the kind of order that separates the Chinese industrial humanoid makers from the show-floor prototypes. The company does not publish a full English datasheet, and payload, battery, runtime and price are not disclosed; the figures here come from vendor listings rather than a manufacturer specification sheet.
