Booster K1

The Booster K1 is the small, cheap sibling of the Booster T1: 95 cm tall, roughly 19.5 kg, 22 degrees of freedom (six per leg, four per arm, two in the head) and a launch price of 5,999 US dollars for the entry Geek edition — 4,999 as a pre-order promotion that ran to 11 November 2025. It was announced on 30 October 2025 as an "entry-level embodied development platform", and price is the whole point: it puts a walking, force-controlled biped in the same bracket as a workstation rather than a car. Where the T1 offers one specification, the K1 is sold in three tiers that differ mainly in brains and battery. Geek pairs 48 TOPS of AI compute with a 2 Ah pack good for about 30 minutes at 0.4 m/s; Education steps up to 117 TOPS and a 5 Ah pack rated at 80 minutes; Professional keeps the 5 Ah pack and raises compute to 200 TOPS, matching the T1. Mechanically all three are identical — 60 N·m peak joint torque, dual encoders on every joint, stereo depth camera, 9-axis IMU and a circular six-microphone array with speaker. Booster quotes 30 hours of continuous 500 N impact testing and 100 hours of machine operation behind the frame, which is the durability claim that matters for a robot aimed at classrooms. The K1 has already been validated in competition: at RoboCup 2026 in July the Middle division was swept by teams on K1 machines, with B-Human taking the title ahead of HTWK Robots and Rhoban. At CES 2026 Booster reported selling out its K1 stock within hours of the unveiling. Each unit ships with a carrying case, supports secondary development, and includes six months of the Doubao large language model.
