Qiji XS

Qiji XS is the wheel-legged member of DAX Robotics' pair of rideable machines, unveiled with the point-footed Qiji X1 at the World Robot Conference in Beijing on 21 August 2026. Where X1 walks everywhere at 7 to 10 km/h, XS is built for speed: 320 kg of machine that cruises on wheels at up to 40 km/h on a flat surface and switches to a legged gait by itself when it meets a ditch or an earth bank. DAX credits a control system that decouples the two modes for taming the shake that usually comes with fast wheel-legged travel. Power comes from the same 165 V fast-charging pack as its sibling, and both machines take gait-library updates over the air. Range is the one figure that does not hold still: at WAIC in July 2026 the company was quoted at 100 km, while the WRC launch material a month later says 60 km. Neither number comes from a published data sheet, so both appear here rather than a pick. The Qiji series went on global pre-order exclusively through JD.com under a three-year agreement, with five years of free servicing for early buyers; DAX has published no evidence of series deliveries, so the catalogue keeps the machine at prototype status. Payload has not been stated for XS — the 300 kg figure that circulates belongs to X1.
