X7 EDU

X7 EDU is the teaching and research version of DAX Robotics' X7 platform, put on sale on 13 October 2025 alongside the autonomous X7 Pro in a first run of 100 units. It is the cheaper of the two: CNY 89,800 at list price and CNY 69,800 for early orders, which the maker presents as roughly a fifth of what comparable commercial humanoids cost, and which undercuts the Chinese price floor set earlier in 2025 by machines such as LimX Oli at CNY 158,000. The body is a two-armed torso on a six-axis omnidirectional wheeled base, 170 cm in design height, with seven-axis biomimetic arms spanning 70 cm before the gripper or dexterous hand, rated together at 10 kg. What distinguishes EDU is what it does not carry: where Pro runs the XBrain 2.0 model locally and adds head and extra torso joints for 26 degrees of freedom, EDU has 23 — seven per arm, three in the torso, six in the base — and ships instead with every interface opened for the customer's own software stack. That makes it a full-size platform for university and laboratory work rather than a finished commercial worker. The same eight-core CPU and 200 TOPS GPU are on board, with perception and interaction hardware optional. One caution for readers: DAX's current website lists 26 degrees of freedom and 15 kg for both versions, which contradicts the launch breakdown; the figures here follow the launch material, which states the split explicitly.
