The X30 is the flagship of DEEP Robotics, the Hangzhou company that is China's closest rival to Unitree in legged robots, and it is aimed squarely at industry rather than research. Launched in October 2023, it weighs 56 kg with the battery, walks at 4 m/s or more, climbs slopes of up to 45 degrees and steps over obstacles of 20 cm and higher. What sets it apart from consumer quadrupeds is the envelope: an IP67 rating, an operating range from -20 to 55 C, and a perception stack the maker says keeps working in darkness, glare and flicker alike, which is what allows unattended patrols of substations, tunnels and pipeline corridors day and night. A charge gives 2.5 to 4 hours and at least 10 km, and the 72 V pack also feeds mounted payloads over an Ethernet and power interface. The X30 Pro variant keeps the same motion and environmental ratings while adding USB 2.0, USB 3.0, Wi-Fi and 5 V, 12 V and 24 V outputs for inspection sensors. DEEP Robotics does not publish a payload figure for the X30 on its product page; the numbers circulating through distributors are not confirmed by the manufacturer.
