PM01 is EngineAI's lightweight humanoid and the machine that made the Shenzhen company widely known, thanks to demonstrations of high-dynamic motion including a front flip. It stands 140 cm tall in the manufacturer's drawing (the company's own summary page rounds this to 138 cm), measures 53.6 by 25.3 cm and weighs about 42 kg in the commercial version, 43 kg in the education version. There are five degrees of freedom in each arm and six in each leg, at least 23 in total for the commercial build and 24 for the education build, and the waist turns through more than 300 degrees - an unusual range that is what makes the robot's whole-body moves look human rather than jointed. Walking speed exceeds 2 m/s. The two versions differ mainly in what drives and what thinks: the commercial robot uses the Q90H motor rated to 145 N.m and a basic four-core processor, while the education robot uses the lighter, faster-spinning Q25H motor rated to 50 N.m and adds an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX with 16 GB, dual depth cameras in the head and waist, and an interactive touchscreen. The 10,000 mAh battery gives about two hours of work and takes about two hours to charge. EngineAI does not publish a price on the product page; trade coverage at launch put the entry price around 12,000 US dollars.
