FX Aegis

FX Aegis is the four-legged member of Faraday Future's embodied-AI robot line, launched in Las Vegas in February 2026 next to the Futurist and Master humanoids. The company sells it as a security and companionship robot for roads, factories, law-enforcement work, emergency response in hazardous places, asset inventory and small-item delivery. Aegis reaches a peak joint torque of 48 Nm, clears obstacles of roughly 13 inches (about 33 cm) and climbs slopes of up to 40 degrees. It ships as a quadruped but a four-wheeled version is offered as an option, and the platform can be extended with lidar, depth cameras, communication modules, robotic arms, fire extinguishers and dedicated security payloads. Wi-Fi and 5G support remote operation, and the robot is meant to keep working outdoors and on industrial sites even beyond network coverage. Autonomous patrol and follow-me behaviour come as standard, and the software can be tied into home, campus and industrial security systems for continuous patrol and status reporting. The Aegis series starts at $2,499, with a $1,000 ecosystem skill package for units capable of secondary development — pricing that undercuts most Western quadrupeds and places it against the cheapest Chinese models. Height, weight, battery capacity and runtime have not been published.
