LimX Oli

Oli is the general-purpose humanoid of LimX Dynamics, a Shenzhen company founded in January 2022 that has become one of the best-funded Chinese robot makers, backed by Alibaba and JD.com. Introduced in July 2025, the robot stands 165 cm tall and has 31 degrees of freedom: 2 in the head, 7 in each arm, 3 at the waist and 6 in each leg. The waist joint matters in practice, since it lets the machine bend and twist to reach objects at floor level rather than relying on its arms alone. Perception is built around two Intel RealSense D435i depth cameras, one in the head and one in the chest, plus a self-developed six-axis IMU that the maker credits with reduced drift; lidar and further cameras can be added. Motion control and perception run on separate on-board computers, so heavy vision workloads do not compete with balance. The end effector is a deliberate choice rather than a fixed part: a one-degree-of-freedom parallel two-finger gripper for reliable industrial picking, or a six-degree-of-freedom five-finger dexterous hand for tasks shaped for human tools. The battery is quick-swap, which keeps the robot working across shifts. LimX Dynamics does not publish the weight, runtime, payload, walking speed or a price; the robot is sold through an enquiry form.
