TRON 1, announced in October 2024, was the machine that made LimX Dynamics known outside China and remains the company's entry-level research platform, sold alongside the newer TRON 2 rather than replaced by it. The idea is a single biped chassis with a modular foot end that unbolts into three configurations. Point-foot is the hardest balance problem and the simplest hardware, favoured by control researchers because there is no ankle surface to cheat with. Sole gives a conventional humanoid footprint for walking and standing work. Wheeled turns the same legs into an all-terrain wheeled-leg platform and lifts top speed from under 1 m/s to up to 3 m/s. Structurally it is aluminium alloy with industrial plastic. Sensing is an RGBD camera and an IMU, with USB 3.0 and gigabit Ethernet for whatever the user adds. Software is deliberately undemanding: the SDK and hardware interfaces are fully open, development is possible in Python without touching C++, and the robot is supported in NVIDIA Isaac, MuJoCo and Gazebo, so policies can be trained in simulation before they reach the hardware. The ternary lithium battery charges from 20 to 80 percent in under an hour and fully in about 90 minutes. LimX Dynamics does not publish height, weight, payload or price on the product page.
