Midjourney V6

Midjourney V6 was released on 20 December 2023 and served as the platform default from 14 February to 30 July 2024. It brought markedly better prompt accuracy on long inputs, stronger coherence and world knowledge, and much improved image prompting and remixing. V6 remains selectable through the version parameter and is the last generation to support Character Reference, Character Weight and multi-prompting, features later versions dropped; it offers quality settings of 0.5, 1 and 2 and pairs with the Niji 6 anime model. It predates HD output, Omni Reference and Draft Mode.
