Midjourney V8.0 Alpha

Midjourney V8.0 was an early-access alpha launched on 17 March 2026 and available only through the Midjourney Alpha website. It was withdrawn on 24 July 2026 — the same day V8.2 became the default — giving it a working life of 129 days, the shortest of any Midjourney generation. Images generated with V8.0 remain visible in user galleries, but the version can no longer be selected for new work. It sits between V7 and the V8.1 release that introduced HD output, and was never promoted to platform default.
