A one-armed bartender that reads the room: Richtech's cheaper ADAM pours to within half a percent and picks drinks from what the camera sees on your face.
Scorpion is Richtech Robotics' single-arm beverage robot, launched on 19 September 2024. It is built on the same architecture as the two-armed ADAM but is smaller and cheaper to deploy, which is the point: Richtech positions it for venues that want a robotic bar without ADAM's footprint or cost. Two published figures separate it from a novelty machine. Pouring accuracy is stated at plus or minus 0.5 per cent, which matters commercially - beverage service lives on portion control - and the robot handles multilingual speech recognition, so ordering does not require a screen. The camera layer is the unusual part: Richtech says the AI vision system reads gestures and facial expressions and can recommend a drink based on what it reads, a claim the company repeated at CES 2026 alongside an announcement of improved visual supervision. The robot's classification is worth stating plainly, because secondary coverage gets it wrong: Scorpion is a beverage service robot, not a cleaning machine. The company's own fiscal 2025 annual report files it under beverage service, next to ADAM. As with every robot Richtech currently sells, no list price and no rental rate has ever been published.
