Robot.com R-dog

R-dog is a four-legged delivery robot unveiled on 11 August 2026 by Robot.com, the American company previously known as Kiwibot. It is explicitly presented as a concept, not a product: the manufacturer says it will grow into a production version through an expanded partnership with FieldAI, whose Field Foundation Models are to serve as its autonomy layer. The machine answers a specific complaint the company makes about its own wheeled fleet. Sidewalk robots stop at stairs, curbs, thresholds and the uneven ground between a building lobby and a front door, and a human has to carry the order the rest of the way. R-dog's legs are meant to cover exactly that last stretch, in dense city streets, residential neighbourhoods and campus settings such as universities, hospitals and industrial sites. It carries a large onboard compartment sized for several items at once - stacked food orders next to ordinary e-commerce parcels - so one machine handles both without a hardware change, and it completes the handover through unattended auto drop-off. The second role is commercial rather than logistic. R-dog carries two video screens and plugs into R-ads, Robot.com's self-serve advertising suite, so brands can upload campaigns remotely and use a walking robot as interactive out-of-home media. Both roles run on REMI, the company's fleet-management platform and the software layer through which it controls every robot it operates. Robot.com has published no dimensions, mass, payload figure, battery capacity, runtime, speed or price for R-dog, and no delivery pilot has been named. Until the announced production version appears, the profile stays at concept stage.
